DESCRIPTION
This is your chance to accompany a local gourmet food expert into the vibrant bustle of a traditional food market in Rome. Your guide will greet you at your meeting point and take you through the ancient streets of the Eternal City until you reach a historic food market, where you will engage in a food tour that is only possible with a true Roman.
Peruse the fish, meat and vegetable stands, tasting a variety of fresh local fruits or perhaps a few mussels straight from the counter. Let the ingredients inspire your greatest Italian cooking fantasies! Your guide will explain the history and traditions behind many of the ingredients used in the Roman kitchen over the centuries, and how they still play a part in local Italian cooking today.
